Okay, I received it and wasnt happy with the black deposits. Did some reading and decided to try removing them. Well, didnt work brilliantly. Managed to remove a whole patch but the black stuff had ebbed the silver out of that area so that looks copper. Decided o quit while I was ahead. The reverse is a BEAUTY.

Much nicer than the picture suggests - got a nicer shimmer, got a heavy double strike to the obverse (you can see theoutline around the bust). The cippus really stands out - I wasnt expecting it to be so prominent.

It actually didn't come out bad, it looks much better with the black gunk removed.

Give it a good soak in Acetone for a while and you might be happier with the outcome. Or you can work the spots with a cotton swab...that's what I do and it usually helps.

What actually ment to say was, you ruined it! Send it to me!

Well, acetone wont do much to this stuff its proper on there. Cant move it with a pin. Its nicer in hand than it was when it started out - the strange waviness in the fields are where the oxidised bits on the 'before' picture have turned out into raised bits of silver. But the reverse is the bit I wanted and its come out looking better.
