you might not deal a lot with lower quality coins as much as others do so I think your lowball estimates of value are insulting to the people that have these coins. You never seem to learn this lesson though.

1893S, get a dictionary and look up the word tact. Study it, then try using it.

About the coin, I like it. VG-8.

jerry39..This is not a lowball by any means. I use recognized price guides and go from there. I own and buy lower and higher grade coins but a coin is what it is. And this IS not an insult to the owner of this coin, the OP asked for opinions, why do you care what my opinion is?.

I do not really care what you say. I seem to remember the person that posted this coin asked you to not post on anymore of his threads. You disregarded the request and basically insulted his coin. Somehow I am not surprised and He or she most likely will not be either.

These were his actual words:

For 1893s, I'd just appreciate you stay away from my threads..

1893S, your manner, regardless of your intent, is making you a liability around here. You've alienated a number of members - you should be well aware of this by now - and appear not to care. This is unacceptable, and won't be allowed to continue.

For what it is worth, it seems like 1817 Large Cents of similar condition (or even much worse condition) have been selling in the $25-$35 range according to the sold ebay listings. This is probably a good (? the best) indication of its value; as that is what people are actually paying. It is also probably what one could sell it for if listed on ebay.

PS nice clear picture, btw.
