So first, here's the haul from Sunday night. It's $1.14, including a 1959 nickel that I didn't have the stomach to put in the rock tumbler.

Today, I have an off day from work, and everyone keeps saying I need to get some sun. I work nights, but people don't seem to comprehend the fact that the sun is not out at night. So I figured a few hours MDing in the daytime would get me some sun, and get me over the $30.00 mark with MD finds if I was lucky. I went to a local park that has a large playground and skateboard park attached to it. Thank God for that playground, cause that's where I found most of my haul. When I was a kid, I didn't have this kind of money, that's for sure. Here it is, photo taken before dumping the nasty ones in the rock tumbler. $1.09. I'm now over $30.00 in finds so far, which is all profit for me! Boom!

I thought my MD was broken because I never found nickels! Then I figured out how to listen to the tones, patterns of the tones, and consider the size of the area where I am getting the tones from, and now I find nickels. Crazy! Did you find anything else with that nickel? I actually went back to this same money-giving community center again tonight and dug up $1.09. It's tumbling clean right now, so pics will be forthcoming.

Only two more pennies, but one was SO corroded that it looked more like a triangle-but I did know it was zinc. Maybe it's a split planchet! *stupid gurgling noises*

Well here's the pic of my haul last night. Never ceases to amaze me how much money I KEEP pulling up from the same 20 foot squared area. Here's another $1.09 to go into my coin fund. I had hoped (when I first dug it up, I mean) that watchband was just maybe silver, but of course, it's not. That little weird round thing next to the watchband is a piece of copper, and I think it came off someone's necklace or something. It looks like a jewelry bead in hand.
