I picked this one up from a dealer I frequent, he had no idea what it might be, but it looks greek to me. Anyone know what it is? -XoG

The coin is beat but it looks like an AE issue of Seleukos I Nikator, the winged head of Medusa right the reverse might be a bull charging right? Or maybe the helmeted head of Seleukos with an Anchor on reverse. I can't really make out many reverse details. I am pretty sure it is Seleukos I (321-280 BC) Most likely minted somewhere in Asia, Bactria?

The reverse looks like some sort of trophy cup

Agreed, but I can't seem to find a match. I thought maybe it was a caduceus or a tripod but a kantharos is more likely based on the shape.

Weight and diameter?
I agree with Anoob-- at first I thought the reverse was a very worn caduceus but it is more likely a kantharos. Looks like there may be a letter or two in the right field (reverse)-- A?

Hi Xavier, Your coin reminds me of this one from Troas,Lamponeia, but yours is very worn to make a good id. This one is only 12mm. What is the size of yours Can you make out any letters on the reverse if you twist it around in the light a bit? http://www.acsearch.info/record.html?id=600218

Its about the size of a Type 1 gold dollar. There are two letters on the left side of the cup, but I cant make them out. There is a larger letter which appears to be an M on the right hand side
