Hi , is there a way to limit the search for ions older than certain date ? For an example my current search looks like ,
( thaler, taler, ecu, daler, marks, 5 lire, 5 francs, crown, 2 gulden, 2 florin, escudo, 4 franken, 400 reis, 5 corona, 5 korona, 5 dinara, 5 lei, 960 reis, 2000 reis)

How can I just get coins older than say 1900 ?

I dont know of a text search command to get a certain date and below, but you can use the "Refine" link on the left sidebar (or button on bottom of App) to narrow further (if the coin in question supports refinement by year). Maybe you already know this and are looking for a text based command. For that I am not sure there is one, but if there is I would love to know too.

It will make your string much longer ... just add a minus sign for all the dates you don't want, i.e. -1900, -1901, etc.

Just delete the years you don't want to use:

Try that string string and you'll get this message: Search using the wildcard symbol (*) is no longer supported.

Wow, you weren't kidding, they crippled their search functionality... what a bad move.

Yep, I have gotten pretty good at working around their efforts to cripple the search for coins across dates. If searching for a large range of dates, I use the list. If it is less than a decade, I copy and paste ,190 after starting the string, add the last digit and paste again.
(1900,190
(1900,1901
(1900,1901,1902,1903,190 etc...

Don't forget to close with a parenthesis.
