I've have heard and seen carved nickels on this forum referred to as Hobo nickels. I think they look very interesting and have been keeping an eye out for one.

So here's a thread to show off your Hobo Nickels! (Pictures recommended)

And I have a few questions:
-Are they always Buffalo nickels that are carved?
-How are they made?
-How much would one expect to pay for a Hobo Nickel? (in other words, how collectible are they?)
