The Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands is a former American territory, still politically part of the United States. An American colony, if you will. As such, they use US money in day-to-day trade and haven't issued any official coinage that you'll find in the Krause catalogue. But there have been several "unofficial" coins made in the name of the islands by various private mints in the US.

I do know that the Marianas are a US Commonwealth so their official currency is USD. The commemorative coins are NCLTs (non-circulating legal tender) and some of them are of a "dubious" nature, i.e. the Freedom Tower coins made by NCM were Marianas NCLTs

Unofficial and other unorthodox coins are listed in a separate catalogue, "Unusual World Coins", which is made by the same company that makes the regular world coin catalogues. Coins in this book are referenced by "KMX numbers".

NumisMaster (a website run by the company that makes the catalogues) has a "Find My Coin" database search, which shows seven coins, numbered KMX# 1 to 7. You have to sign in/register and under "Coin Origin" select "unusual" to see them.

World Coin Gallery doesn't distinguish between "real coins" and "fantasies", and lists three NMI coins there, KMX# 1, 3 and 5. (KMX# 2, 4 and 6 are the same designs, but in gold).
