Ya, why no info? You'd think they'd release them on NHL opening day....

Can't wait for the five for fighting nickel.

Why is there a shield surrounding the logo on the Winnipeg Jets coin?
Just checked the jets page on NHL.com to see if I missed a shield... Nope.

Launch date was supposed to be yesterday. Canadian Coin and Currency has them for $30 each (issue price).

I will be buying a Vancouver Canucks one, of course...

I'm staying far away from these sets. It's been a costly year for me.

Me too! Those superman coins really kicked my bank account around lol. I am thinking about switching back to mostly bullion buying for awhile as I have enough proof coins, low mintage stuff etc for the moment. Trying to get some kind of balance back between the two. We shall see ...

That was fast. Montreal and Toronto sold out at the Mint already.

Likely though that most of these coin and stamp sets are being sold through Canada Post.

Yes, Montreal and Toronto seem to always be the highest mintages and hardest to find NHL themed coins.

Today I sold a Superman coin in person to a guy who was telling me exactly that, that the Canadiens set is sold out .... many people don't know they can get the coins through Canada Post.
Rest in Peace

Frankly, I'm surprised any of them sold out and I expect they will be available elsewhere for quite a while.

The addition of a stamp might attract collectors but IMO the design of the coin is terrible. Why not use the full NHL logo instead of just ghosting it in plain white paint.
