This ebay listing describes the condition of this dug coin as having a "Pleasant Desirable Deep Woods Patina". Think TPGs could start using it instead of CORRODED or ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE?

The seller "paints" this five-holed coin as a necessary, Confederate survival piece .... Looks to me like the coin survived target practice!

The bid is $43 so far and free shipping! Doing the math $43 / 5 holes in coin = $8.60 per hole. Great deal

One man's CORROSION is another man's "Free Range Toning". I've often thought about using "BU" to describe the Beat Up coins I sell...

Hey, some companies pay marketing executives six figure salaries to come up with descriptions like that. This seller could have a bright future writing for the J. Peterman catalog.

Only if you call DEET the "perfume of the woods" or, as it became in Dallas in the West Nile summer of 2012, "the new Channel #5".

I can't imagine the mind frame of anyone that bid more than a $1 on that coin.

It does resemble a button--but I don't see a scant of evidence that was made by Confederate soldiers.
