I have received this token in a mixed lot of world coins. Despite the fact that is says clearly on it that it is "Luna Park", I cannot seem to find it anywhere on the internet.

I have had no luck in identifying a date or country of origin (as there are many Luna Parks in the world). Does anyone know anything about this token, or can anyone give me a lead?

Thanks!

Found an identical one in an old ebay.com listing from a seller from Blackpool, Lancashire. No details, though, and the seller has tokens from a number of countries.

Luna Park is an amusement park on the North side of the Sydney Habrour Bridge located
Luna Park Sydney
1 Olympic Drive
Milsons Point
NSW, 2061
This token does not appear to be from the Luna Park in Australia
It may be from the Luna Park in in Coney Island Brooklyn or the Luna Park in Los Angeles

but there are other Luna Parks

There was a Luna Park around Pittsburgh, and one in Egypt, it was the first western style one in Africa. It doesn't show up in the token catalog data base under LUna park on either coast of the US.

Hi all!

Wow thanks for all the responses!
I also found that old ebay post, but the best details it had were that the token was "world" and "20th century". Not super useful. ;)

So if it is not Australia or American, where might I look for it? To be honest I am more of a coin collector, so I am not familiar with all of the resources I can use to look this up....

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the help. :D

Luna Park was an Amusement Park of the early 1900's that was located in what is now West Seattle. Below is one of their tokens which is 23mm and aluminum. Might be a place to look.

Sorry, Vinnie, but one thing we seem to have no shortage of is Luna Parks to look at!
