@trout1105:

Nice addition, hope you'll enjoy it.

could tell please, which areas do you try to cover in your collection?
You posted recently RAM's silver dollars, and now also 50c pieces....
Circulated Australian 50 cent - one is my favorite coins, finally (2013) they issued separate version in fine silver .
Waiting for its arrival.

Still can not imagine, that you open the capsules and store them (silver coins) in the albums.

I try and cover ALL the decimal issues .
I am only 3 coins short of having a complete set of $1 25mm coins, That includes business strikes, proofs, silver proofs, anll NCLT issues and all the Pad printed coins.

My 50 cent collection will be the next lot that I "Fill the gaps" in.

As for removing the coins from the mint packaging, Well I have always done that.
There are over 300 coins in my dollar collection alone , So you can imagine the amount of space required to store all of these in the mint wrappings

Anyway they look AWSOME in the albums(NON pvc archival quality) and they are probably better stored than in some of the cruddy little open ended slips a large amount of these were issued in

Curious to know what the 3 are...

Nice pickups there, some are on my 'to get' list; I like the tetra-dec series, and hope the RAM use it in other series too.
Gee, they'll do anything for a coin issue - opera house is only 40, not 50 or 100 - memo to Mint: I'm turning 50 next year, so how about a coin to celebrate?

Seriously, the coins would look great in albums, much better IMHO than keeping all them in the holders/packs (yes, the push-in packs they supply for the mintmark coins are open one end and let the weather and other nasties in...)

Can you say what the record number of issues is for a given year in the dollar series? Are we getting more and more each year from the RAM?

I am not sure "offhand" without counting the coins in my albums, But this year so far there have been 21 different 25mm coins so far.

2002 Outback "S: counter stamp coin - I'm under the impression all of the outback mint mark coins except 'c' were counterstamped

Is this true or am I mistaken?

You are absolutely correct, I have just checked my set and the "S" is definitely a counterstamp.
Thanks Mate now I only need 2 coins

That's what you think...

I've read there are at least 4 of the Dollar issues that had a few coins escape being counterstamped...2004 Stockade, 2005 Gallipoli, 2006 TV and 2007 Harbour Bridge
When you've gotta have 'em all, they'll be gnawing at you!!
Unless you've already got them

I consider these to be "Errors" and I don't include errors in my collection of $1 coins
