I was really interested on buying a 2008 $10 gold buffalo slabbed. I saw a couple on ebay but they have a really high premium is it worth buying it. I'm just stacking gold but planing to stack silver but I want to make it more interesting so I want to buy some numismatic coins. Report this Post to the Staff

You can get a 2008 1oz bullion buffalo NGC slabbed perfect 70 coin from APMEX for about $1570 right now. You can get a raw (unslabbed) version for the same price as that 1/4 oz proof. If you want to stack gold, stack gold. If you want to buy coins, buy coins. If you want to buy coins in order to stack gold only buy them when they are close to the stacking gold price. I'd stay away from the 2008-W Buffaloes until I was more familiar with the series and/or decided to collect the 8-coin proof and burnished set. Just my Two Cents.
