zxcccxz Pillar of the Community Canada 5417 Posts	Posted 09/19/2013 10:13 pm So I just started collecting ancients and now have about 20 different specimens including including a couple denari, a beautiful byzantine coin and one very large ptolemy! Aside from ancients I have a huge collection of world and US and Canadian coins. This week I thought it was time to upgrade my ancient collection by adding a nice gold specimen. I came across this: https://www.vcoins.com/en/stores/zu...Default.aspx Is it a good deal? Should I make a offer of $240? And if no, then can you suggest some nice $250ish nice looking ancient? I can find aureus' that aren't worn smooth for under $200 and no Solidus' that aren't Byzantine for under $500. Report this Post to the Staff

It seems to have at least one good bend if not two. Personally I think you might be happier spending more and getting a better example. A bent coin just doesn't 'sit' right for me.
