Hello,

I have a nice 1961 Jefferson nickel. It appears to be full steps to me and in pretty high MS condition. I was looking to get it graded but do not know how to send to PCGS preferably (maybe NGC). Any opinions? And maybe help on how I send it if its worth it.

Welcome to Coin Community. Quite frankly, I think I'm seeing a Proof here, not a Business Strike. The steps are obviously full, and that's a vanishingly rare feature in 1961 Business Strikes.

Thanks. I thought it might be a proof. It came in a U.S. Mint Yellow envelope with no labeling but U.S Mint. The other coins in the set do not look proof to me.

It's important to recognize proofs for what they are. In this case, over a 600. difference
