#3:Lamination,nice.

DrDon, you overlooked #4. #5 is the zinc rot coins. #4 has either been encased in something or has some kind of collar error going on. Let me look around a second cosmos.

I can't find anything. My best guess is that it was encased at some point in time. I don't know why a 1984-D would be but that is my best guess. Wait on a pro. Good luck.

I found pennies with numbers stamped on them while RHing for wheats and canadians. Any thoughts?

Coin #1 I think is over polishing of the die.Keep the LAM and spend the rest,IMHO.

#4 was encased,framed with a ring for jewelry.LAM is caused by a poor metal mix.

Most of the zincolns that I dig out of the ground show severe "zinc rot". These have probably spent some time at least an inch under.

If the letters "DCM" are on the reverse, it means that I was the one who counterstamped them.
