I have come across two 1964 with different bud errors . Does any one have a picture of the xtra bud variety . Mine on one looks like the bud is split or flower bud just before it opens . On the other one there is a bulge beside the bud . Sorry no pictures at this post . Will try again for pictures .

Do a search on this forum for extra spine. You will get lots of info and pics

I know you are looking for the bud,,, but if you searched "extra spine" you would find this link and many others that talk about different years and their found varieties.... This link lists a 1964 bud, spine, and extra thorn.
