They probably travelled forward in their time machine and by that time have already scored themselves a nice handful of coins since they know that it will go up in price after the sellout

meeh.. I remembered years ago, everyone want tickle me Elmo for their kids and it was sold for huge amount. Same with any game console that is release around Christmas time.
