News Release â€" The 55th Semi-Annual Collectorama Coin and Currency Show will be held October 11-13, 2013 at The Lakeland Center, 701 West Lime Street, Lakeland, Florida. 100-125 Florida, and national Coin and Currency Dealers will be on hand to buy, sell and trade a wide range of better Numismatic Coins and Currency, Proof and Mint Sets, Certified Coins and Currency, Bullion related material, Paper Americana, and an extensive amount of popular Neat Collectibles of just about every description. Including: Postcards, Confederate Memorabilia, Jewelry, Floridiana, Stamps/Postal History, Diamonds, Stocks and Bonds, Advertising Cards, Rewards of Merit, and many small Antiques and Collectibles. A special show Souvenir Card, depicting a rare Confederate Note will be available at the show for $4.00. The Collectorama Show is a "family affair" with lots of "neat stuff" to please everyone in the family. A new selection of popular 1 oz (avd) Copper Rounds, including new issues for Christmas, will be available, which make nice inexpensive gifts that are great for "stocking stuffers" neat tips, or golf ball markers. An extremely diverse selection of "economic hedging" Gold, Silver, Platinum and Palladium products will be bought and sold all weekend and national Paper Money dealers will be displaying many rarities.
Collectorama is open to the public on Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All youngsters, 12 or under, get a daily dip into the Kid's Bucket for a free handful of money. Attending dealers and collectors help keep the Kid's Bucket full all weekend with some very generous donations that helps to stimulate youngsters to enjoy the benefits of a wonderful hobby. A local Florida Supply Dealer will also be on hand with a wide range of numismatic and hobby supplies.
Lakeland, Florida is centrally located in Florida, only about a half hour East of Tampa, and about a half hour West of Orlando, via Interstate I-4. Easily accessible from I-4, via Route 98 (South) to South Florida Avenue, right into downtown Lakeland, where good signage directs visitors right to The Lakeland Center. The Collectorama Show offers Free Parking to all show attendees, simply by mentioning The Collectorama Show to the Parking Attendants. Free hourly door prizes will be given away all weekend, and there will be an "Appraisal Clinic" for all Coins, Currency and Collectibles, all day on Sunday.
The Host Hotel for The Collectorama Show is The Terrace Hotel, located just a few minutes East of The Lakeland Center, and close to many of the popular Wild Bird Sanctuaries that Lakeland is famous for. The Terrace is a 1920's Luxury Hotel which has been completely refurbished, and boosts a great Five Star Restaurant.
