Bought this recently from a reputable dealer and didnt notice the rim bump on reverse 12' clock until I received the coin. It is graded XF-40. I still like the coin despite of the nick and will keep it however the I am wondering why NGC didn't mentioned the rim nick ?

They just deemed it acceptable when they graded it and not bad enough for a details grade. The TPGs give some leeway with small rim hits on the older coins, but theyll only mention it if they give it a details grade because of it.
