The link redirects to a site that my anti-virus says is unsafe.
Is there an alternate, direct download link?

I'd stay away from all toolbars, even the CCF one.

Do you guys honestly think we're going to contract with people of dubious integrity for the Toolbar? Heck, if you knew Bobby, you'd realize that messing with CCF amounts to suicide. An antivirus warning for the Toolbar download is a failure on the part of the antivirus. Not a "bad" thing; by nature antivirus is reactive rather than proactive because you can't protect against a virus until you've already seen it in the wild. However, antivirus heuristics sometimes offer false positives by nature, and that's what's happening here. If you'd like, BStrauss3, let me know what browser you're using. I'll download the executable, scan it with avast! (my personal antivirus of choice), and email it to you. Not like I haven't done this already; pro prudence means one scans every download, regardless of how much you trust the source.

It's not an AV warning for the toolbar, it's a more general warning by Vipre about the site you've chosen to host the download. It could be because of other downloads on that site. Either that or something is going on... but using normal inspection tools, I'm seeing 302s 301s to 192.168.x.x, etc. all signs of a malware download.
I don't know Bobby. Even if I did, seeing a hosting site that is actively rejecting my attempts to figure out what I'm downloading would cause the same suspicions if it were from ANYBODY.

Very much understood, and of course nobody's going to take any of your words personally. In fact, you've prompted an investigation into what's going on with it; we don't want this stuff happening either.
