I have posted before on this penny and was told to weigh it, well I have and here are the weights of a regular 1960 penny and the silver one I found. I know it isn't a coating on the penny (like spray paint because I scratched the edge of it and it was silver under it.

if it is silver what is my next step, do I have it graded? where do I send it? is the metal really silver or is it treated with a chemical to make it look silver?

I just want to know what I have or if I have anything special here?

I suspect that this coin has been electro nickel plated.

Or worse, mercury dipped.
If it feels greasy don't handle it anymore.
Mercury is toxic AND can be absorbed through the skin.

The second pic looks like there is copper showing through in the scratches and along the rim, maybe just the lighting.
