Not a DDO.Hard to tell by your pics what it is but it is not a DDO,sorry.Keep trying they are out there.Good luck.

I agree, it looks like a shadowing. Since the coin looks circulated, and probably toned or stained the area around the base of Lincoln is probably less toned due to others handling the coin, simply rubbing off some of that non permanent toning per se.

Simply put, MOST DDO's are easily recognized and documented. With that being said, I am sure there are a very few select years that will have DDO's that are not yet recognized by the major publishings, or grading companies due to lack of information and examples.

Coop has said it best, IMO.... if you look too hard and too long at coins, you can convince yourself that something is there, when it is not.
