Hi all!

Has anyone else received short orders from the mint? My last 2013 AM Eagle (West Point) Silver 2 coin set order was shorted one set. The invoice sent by the mint said two were sent, but there is no way the two-coin sets could fit in the small box.

Just received an adjustment form from the mint. For some reason, I don't think this will turn out well for me.

Any input gang?

Check the weight of the box indicated by the tracking number on the couriers website, then weigh your set. If the weight of the box is less than two sets this will be your best proof to give to the mint. I imagine the mint has a distribution system that will allow them to check the weight of the box when it left their warehouse.

I dont imagine this will be difficult for them to resolve, best of luck!

Thanks fed_ink85! I took your suggestion and identified the weight discrepancy, sent scans of the box and all lables, and included a one-page description of why I wanted another set. Unfortunately, all the Mint will do is refund the cost of one set. Really wanted that 4th set.

Great news; not only did the mint credit my CC for the missing set, they sent a new set.

Still had to repay for it but it's nice that I have two of my own now.

That's how the mint handles returns, the credit your account for the return and then if product is still available they charge for the "new order" and ship.
