PCGS graded Canadian coins with a 'plus' designation (example MS64+) are not too common.

Post pictures of yours if you have any or tell us of some you've seen.

Here's my only three.

This is one I cherry picked from a PL Set I bought for $75 in an old capitol holder. It first went to ICCS and came back PL-66 Cameo, I figured the eye appeal was nice enough to send to PCGS.

Sold this coin at the June Coin Expo in Toronto.

Very very interesting------I warrant this should be used by graders more often---it would cover a lot of butts!

Do we really need plus "+" grading? Aren't 11 grades for uncirculated coins enough? Why did PCGS and NGC decide we need more?
It's all about money. People will pay more for such graded coins. Mr. Hall says about 15-20% of coins submitted should receive a "+" grade, the number of coins for which resubmission offers an economic advantage is staggering,a great way to increase revenue. For dealers a + means a higher retail price with more profit or a more saleable product.
If the TPGs really had the collector's interest in mind, they would also have added minus "-" grading so that collectors could avoid overpaying for the dregs in each grade, but there's no money to be made by going there.
