ebay seems to better than online sites. There's quite a few regular sellers on ebay who believe in market prices setting price, so they never have reserves. Where online sites seem to be better is gold coins. For whatever reason, gold rarely goes for spot on ebay, but online dealership usually always have markups ~1.5% over spot. It depends on what you mean by worth it. If you mean for investment purposes doubtful. Even if it gains some in 10 years you have to figure out if it gained more than you would have in the stock market. Historically theres short periods of booms where you can make some money if you get in when it first starts going up, having to hold it for 20 or 30 years to see that boom almost certainly pays less than even safe dividend stocks. Having some just in case of a really bad time is a bad idea but it shouldnt be a significant percentage of your portfolio. Then of course theres the I get it because I like it reason. In that case yes it probably is. Theres a value you can place on enjoyment and happiness Quote: Also read that Elvis and JFK are still alive. Theyre gone by now, Tupac on the other hand.....

Current melt on a roll of proof halves is approx $160.
I checked Epay and I'm not seeing the proof quarter rolls anywhere near that price.

I've deleted earlier completed sales but click on any seller of rolls and click on other items. Usually, one seller will sell 5-6 rolls of silver proofs, all of one state. About 1 out of 5 will sell at spot. Strangely, 1-2 of them will sell well above spot, like 220. This guy usually sells 5-6 rolls once a week: http://www.ebay.com/usr/pacificcoincoThis guy is a basement slabber but also his rolls go cheap: http://www.ebay.com/usr/aboncomHalf rolls of proof 40% kennedys usually go near spot as well.
