I have a coin set that I'm unsure of. I translated what's stated on the on the box as best I could to "Ten Great Marshals of the People's Republic of China" or something to that effect.

24k gold plated set with booklet.

Has anyone seen these or know any information on them? I've search the web for info on them but I couldn't find anything nor any coin similar in appearance. I found pictures the that the coins must've been based off of but that's it. I picked them up 10-20 years ago and only now looking at them.

I have the same set and currently researching if there is any value to them. I was presented them from a Chinese Col in 1995 while I was assigned as an Marine Embassy Guard in Beijing. If you find out anymore info please update. I found a few silver plated on sale a few years back and the asking price was about $100.

I can't tell for sure if it is the same as yours, but this 24K gold plated set is selling in China for about US$20 (120 yuan).

According to the website, the coins are "slightly oxidized" and there are "micro-cracks" in some of the shells surrounding the medals.
