Dealer Delays - Coin Community Forum

Opera12mi Valued Member United States 91 Posts	Posted 10/25/2013 2:54 pm I ordered a Animal Architect Spider coin from Talisman Coins on 10/18/2013. They have not shipped yet. I called them for a status, and they indicated that they are waiting on RCM to send them the coins. I asked if they had a time frame as to when this would happen, they said that they did not and would know when they open packages from RCM what they got. They said that it can be anywhere from a week to two months. Is this normal? Report this Post to the Staff

It's not uncommon for dealer shipments to be delayed by the mints failings. What bugs me is that most of the dealers charge your CC or require payment when you order even though they don't have the items in stock. Report this Post to the Staff
pocket change 50 Pillar of the Community Canada 1751 Posts	Posted 10/25/2013 4:38 pm I just got an email from colonial acres, my sept order has also been delayed because 2 items aren't in. I don't mind too much, as long as my credit card isn't charged and they keep me informed. So far Canada post and Gatewest are the fastest shippers for me. As for the mint it's just sad!! pocket change 50 Pillar of the Community Canada 1751 Posts	Posted 10/25/2013 11:49 pm Thanks for reminding me Nu Moose, I received my books in 3 days from Canadian Coin & Currency. It's the fastest I've had a dealer ship anything! It was a good sale on books too, so now I can study up. Now I have 3 great sources, who needs mint delays. I still feel we and them need more time between releases! One for collectors to have time to enjoy their coins before new arrivals, otherwise it becomes meaningless when you just put them away! This would allow the mint time to mint and ship in a timely fashion. I talked to a customer service rep last Saturday and he said they were working at full capacity. I phone every Saturday to see if there's any progress on shipping. I wonder what tomorrows answer will be? Report this Post to the Staff
