I'd love to see this one as a Moe's "days of". Only 19th century, 100 days, all in including fractional, pioneer etc... If it was made in the good old USA then show your wares

I have to imagine their are some members of the CCF that have some wicked cool examples

What say ye of the numismatic faith? Shall we prompt Sir Moe to fire it up? I say bring it on.

A fine proposition!

I'm a little concerned that there are not a large number of us with gold in our possession, but I'm certainly willing to host if we all would like that.

Maybe a gold by decades so its only 10 days and it helps the prospect (no pun intended) of at least seeing an 1843 for the forties, an 1854 for the fifties etc......At least there won't be so many empty days because you're 100% correct about lack of collective old gold to display each year

So how about The 10 Days & Decades of 19th Century Gold

Another vote for "Decades of Gold", which could include the 20th Century!

Great idea dsfreeworld - gold by decades. I don't have anything to post, but would be an interested watcher

I'm with oih82w8 on adding the 20th century to a decades thread but stopping at the official ending of "old gold". 1930's was it? So maybe The Decades of American Gold - 13 days of Yellow Fever...or something like that

Make it so Moe! No "Days of" thread can be started without your official anointing and blessing!

I would enjoy seeing such a thread and could participate in five decades if we included through coins minted in the 30's.

We will need 15 decades so SmallEagle can show his 179x examples.

For those of you who haven't seen his drool worthy gold, do a search for muddler's "12 days of your favorite classics!" He's about 4 pages from the end.

100-Days-Of-19th-Century-Gold

My long range plan was for another 7070 thread following the Capped Bust half dollar thread, but I believe we can squeeze in the "13 Decades of American Gold Fever" (or some such verbiage!) in between!!

What's the earliest gold anyone has? We could start the thread with the 1790s, but I'm fairly sure, nobody I know has any that old! (My oldest gold is 1853...)

Maybe the 1810s?
