Lovely Morgans!

1897 French bronze 10 centimes - the design by Eugène-André Oudiné would be replaced by the Dupuis design the following year. Mintmark is A for Paris, although by that time the Paris mint was the only one in operation:

Netherlands, 25 cents, 1897, silver:

How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?-Second-Edition!-Ended-At-1492-Waiting-On-1491

The obverse pictures Queen Wilhelmina as a girl. She was born in 1880, eventually was the only surviving heir to the throne and was coronated in 1898. After King Willem III died in 1890, his young widow Emma was appointed regent until 1998.

1896 Kruger halfcrown:

How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?-Second-Edition!-Ended-At-1492-Waiting-On-1491

In 1892 President Kruger ordered the construction of a new mint and the creation of a new coinage for the country to garner support in an upcoming election campaign. These coins were based on the British duodecimal system and ranged from a bronze penny to a gold 1 Pond coin with the same dimensions and 22 carat gold content as a British sovereign.

Although this coinage was short-lived, Kruger silver coins are frequently found in cheap dealers' trays in the UK, possibly because they were brought back by soldiers serving in the Boer War.
