Just out of curiosity, how do you know this coin was produced in exactly 1736? I know this series and there is no way to tell.

These coins were minted during the reign of the emperor (1736-1795)
Indeed, there is no very exact dating possible.
So I took the start of the reign of the emperor.

Apologies everyone, but this is really one for the holed copper board! I have had this 1734 halfpenny since I was a kid - I was looking in the 5p tray at my LCS and the dealer picked it out and gave it to me!  Edited by NumisRob

Well, I just won a nice 1734 Silver Rider Ducatoon a few hours ago which would qualify for posting right now, but rule #2 says I must post my own photo of the coin.  So instead I'll kick off 1733 with my one legitimately rare 8 Reales. It is NGC certified XF details due to environmental damage and cleaning. It's not attributed to any particular shipwreck but Dan Sedwick noted it was "probably from the Rooswijk (1739)" in his auction listing. Minted in Mexico City, this is only the second year of milled coinage in the Spanish Colonies, and this year has several varieties. This one is distinguished by a single assayer initial (for Felipe Rivas de Angulo) and the typical o over M mint mark. I don't have any earlier Spanish Colonial 8 reales -- my next coin will be from 1728.   |

1732 RUSSIA 1 RUBLE :  These early rubles are relatively expen$ive and difficult to find in nice collectible condition. Off-center strikes with border details missing are quite typical.

Yekaterina Alexeevna or Catherine the Great did not begin her reign until 1762. The empress depicted on 1732 roubles is Anna Ioannovna, Empress from 1730 to 1740.
