1625 Ore Sweden Gustav II Adolf (Just the tops of the numbers are visible on the obverse. This type was struck in 1625 and 1626, but I am leaning towards the former.)

I missed 1653- now I have to wait for my AD. 240 denarius. (I doubt we'll ever get there) By the way, Jbuck, what happens when we get to the point where coins were not dated? Should we just post them for the latest or earliest possible date?

Quote: By the way, Jbuck, what happens when we get to the point where coins were not dated? Should we just post them for the latest or earliest possible date? No, the rules state that the coin date needs to be determinable. However, the thread in the ancients forum allows for this, I think. It started with 1600 and moved back from there by decade instead of year. Quote: I have 3 coins for 1623. Should I put them in 1 post? One coin per post (makes the pages load faster and easier to scroll) and you have to wait a minute between posts. This was meant to keep a nice mix. However, as slow as this is now, you can makes all three posts back-to-back. Remember, we are only accepting 1624 until midnight.

1624 Oord (Liard) Maastricht (Spanish Netherlands) Philip IV The mintmark for Maastricht is the star on the top of the reverse. I just received another 1626, a duit from Gelderland, in the mail today.
