Quote: I have one minted between 1604 and 1605 but I don't think that counts does it? You can post it to represent 1604, but it will not be official. In other words, go ahead an post it, but we will still need a confirmed 1604 to be posted before we can move to 1603.

Excellent! Just a reminder, we will still need a confirmed 1604 before we can move along to 1603.

1604 Duit Province of Holland (The Netherlands) A two-year type, with the date on the reverse at about 11:00. The tops of the numbers are cut off, but the cross of the 4 is visible.

Petrus, your 1603-1607 now qualifies! Everyone, if midnight comes give davidrj time to post the 1603 before moving to 1602.

1603 must be a good year. Here's another thaler, this one Prussian under the Teutonic Order. The roller die era produced some great coins.
