1937 FRENCH INDO-CHINA 10 cents; 0.680 silver; 19mm; mintage= 25 mil. :   There's that fasces again!

I've posted coins several times in here, but I was wondering if this thread is strictly just coins or can I post some old currency as well?

1937 Great Britain Specimen Set. There were 2 sets issued in 1937; a 4-coin set and a 15-coin set. This is the 15-coin set. I've only photographed up to the shillings so I won't kill everyone's bandwidth  . The smaller coins had a bit of the felt attach itself to them, which is why they look so dark. There are 2 different shillings - the one with the lion holding the 2 swords is the Scottish Crest. The Scottish Crest shillings were minted in silver from 1937-1946, and in copper-nickel 1947-1951. What to choose, I have 18 different coins from 1936. How do I choose just one?

I have at least that many. Quite the dilemma.  All 18 could be grouped together and posted in two photos that wouldn't show much detail. Or you could choose a couple to show up close. Aiming for something off the beaten trail.. Imagine how many Geo. V specimens will likely be shown by others. I have a Canadian dollar; a Venezuela 5b; Australia this-n-that.. more Nazi Hindenburgs; all the British minors; a bunch more non-Ag that I can't even think of at the moment. Thread won't have this problem when we get to the 1700's.  |

I'm going to be running on fumes by the 1880s, with hardly two coins per decade. Still, it was fun while it lasted!

Is that the Fasces on the 1937 10 Centesimi from San Marino, seems to be a popular symbol for coins of this era. No Fasces here, just a face with some feathers.   This was a nice coin roll find, coin jewellery can be horrid but I like this design. |

I should post the Delaware to complement the Swedish coin of mysilveryear's but I have opted for an example of American commemorative that has so much on it there is barely any field. 1936 Norfolk.   |
