We have been waiting for AY Jackson and Dream catcher coins for quite some time as well. We were informed earlier this week by the mint that there was a flood at their warehouse causing the delay. We were also informed of the late November time frame. We have contacted our customers that purchased these items from us to let them know, All of which have been receptive and understanding to the delay. Thank goodness for patient people. I guess delayed shipment has become the norm at the mint and people have acclimated to this practice. Too bad.

And that list is not complete. There are a lot of other delayed coins.

No kidding. 8 months and counting for a roll of 50 cent pieces.

Thank you Gatewest for passing along the actual reason (a warehouse flood) for the delays affecting all of these coins. It is refreshing to receive such explanations instead of the usual gamut of excuses. I just wish the RCM would be as candid with their customers. Mr. Bennett, please take note!

CC, I read about the flood in Gatewest's post above: "..We were informed earlier this week by the mint that there was a flood at their warehouse causing the delay..." Gatewest didn't specify whether it was a flood of water or complaints...

Guess I just needed to look up eh? Ya must be complaints. I assume their warehouse in Ottawa would be somewhere near the mint (for security) and there is no water anywhere near it. The whole city is far about the level of the river. Maybe it was a water line break or something (not a really a flood) and we did have a downpour of two this year but I don't recall any reported flooding in the city. In any case, good information. I am waiting for the Jackson and the rest of a large order from another dealer and they didn't offer me the courtesy of a heads up so thanks to GW. I'll be sure to examine the coins in extra detail when they arrive (for water damage ).

Yup. Turns out it was a man made 'flood'.

From the Mint website:
"The date of shipment will be determined by the volume of orders received, product availability and other factors."
Translated, this means "Whenever we get around to it and not before."
