HI,

This is circulated 1988 Lincoln Cent with a missing "L' and weak "I" in LIBERTY. ALSO weak "IN" and "TRUST". The "GOD WE" is well struck. I do not know if this is a variety coin or a error coin. The reverse is normal and Lincoln's bust seems to be well struck as well as the rim on the obverse. The planchet looks flat and normal.

I have done research and could not find this variety. Also, does the condition rule out this coin as a collectible? Can it be graded?

Information or opinions are requested on this Lincoln Cent.

Thank you for your time in considering my request.

Regards, Stoystown_PA

to CCF. It looks like a Grease Filled Die aka a Greaser. No real added value but kinda neat to find.

Yes pretty common Grease Filled Die. Like he said no added value. I found one a few days ago with no trace of LIB but the rest of the coin was fine.
