Yeoldecoins Valued Member 384 Posts	Posted 11/07/2013 05:10 am pretty sure top coin is a Hadrian quadrans or semis..... middle is a byzantine follis.... to judge what denomination the coin is the weight and diameter of the coin is invaluable as this helps to narrow it down considerably. regards YOC Report this Post to the Staff

echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 11/07/2013 10:46 am The middle one is a Byzantine follis but because of the wear I can't say for sure who the emperor is. It might be Constans II. These last two coins have been overcleaned by what looks like some type of chemical. This removed the patina and gave the coins a polished look. Report this Post to the Staff

You can see where the crocodile clip went and opposite where the current has passed through the electrolyte. Hate those things.
