I'm looking into placing some bids on a few upcoming auctions on Heritage, but before I do, I wanted to clarify a few questions. 1. How do I go about paying? In the terms page, it states: Quote: "All sales are strictly for cash in United States dollars (including U.S. currency, bank wire, cashier checks, travelers checks, eChecks, and bank money orders, and are subject to all reporting requirements). I assume they still take PayPal with a credit card attached to the account, but I'm not sure since I didn't see it mentioned. Can anyone verify this? 2. What is the live signature session? I saw the auction types page on HA, but still a little confused. Why do they do this and how long does this session last? 3. Do they ship to the address on your HA account, or do you specify this when you make a payment? These questions probably have answers written somewhere, but I haven't found any. Any input from folks that have dealt with HA would be helpful. Thanks. Edited by WheatBack 11/13/2013 10:18 pm

Signature sessions are their higher priced offerings. Live means they are conducting the session in front of a live floor auction (they simulcast to the web, but caution that there could be lags and delays).
For #1 and #3 I would have to win something... any particular reason not to just ask HA directly?

#1 is odd; the only Heritage purchases I've ever made have been from the credit card I had on file with them, or Paypal (they began taking Paypal during the time I've been patronizing them). Shipping is to your file address although I recall provision to use a differing address on a case-by-case basis.
You know they can't expect to have a customer draft a $150,000 Money Order for a coin.

ROTF ... (I used to live in Chicago) like I'm going to wander down to the local currency exchange on Clark St with 150 $100 bills to buy a money order. I believe that persons bidding on auction lots at THOSE levels are expected to establish a line of credit. Just like at an Atlantic City casino!

Wouldn't know. If it weren't for trees, I could see Atlantic City from where I live, but I don't gamble. Not to mention the only way I could spend $150,000 on something is with a gun in my hand.

Thanks. This clears things up a bit. Glad to hear they take PayPal; PayPal was a big thing because that's my payment method for buying most things online.. ie: coins. I suppose I'll throw some proxy bids up and see if I can win anything. Definitely different than ebay.

I suppose I won't be buying anything because Heritage isn't accepting my credit card information saying my "verification number isn't correct." Not sure why they aren't accepting it; typed everything just as it was on my credit card..

For Visa/MasterCard, the CCV is the 3 digit number printed on the signature panel on the back. Some card companies have started putting a 4 digit number to the left of the CCV, but you should just type 7 digits or just 3?
I think Discover is the same. For Amex it's a 4 digit number embossed onto the front of the card.
