So, I am looking through a few hundred pennies from the 5,000 count bag and I pull out a few suspect RPM's and I start looking for a few markers to match the RPM's. I went to coppercoins and I was like, WOW there are a lot of the RPMs.... let me see if I can pull any markers

So I flip the coin over and I see....

Hunh...I think I remember seeing this on one of the RPms ! cool...which one?

So I decide to check a few more Reverse of the Lincoln's and I run across this one ! OK, I don't have just one of these, I have THREE rolls or more

yeah, I don't remember seeing that in in passing through the 1960-D year in Coppercoins, but its a die chip, and I'll keep them.....

So I am thinking, all is well, Until I find one that have a COMBO of both markers and all I could do is laugh, this bag is totally strange.

I am about 50/50 in varieties vs. "normal and maybe" coins.

The white containers are "normal and maybe" combined. Each tray may hold 250-300 coins. The rolls are definite issues with the 1960-D cents - so far......

I am WAY farther than this now. I have over 10 lbs of pennies that were put in the "look over on 2nd pass". Those have realy light split serifs, mild to severe damage to the date/ mint marks or I cannot tell whether its a variety or not. I know the majority of the bag is supposed to be "normal", but that went out the window when I opened this bag.

With 10lbs complete, thats about 30 rolls, which is 1500 coins.

I have another 850 coins that are varieties and when I have time, I am putting these in separate tubes.... Until I ran out. I had to restock the penny tubes and 2x2 penny mylars. Now I should have plenty for a while, or until I buy another 2 bags, which ever comes first !

I have about half the bag to go through and I do have some backup coming. I have a 2nd AmScope stereo microscope inbound soon. When it gets here, the son and I will be able to tag team this 1960-D bag and probably get it done in one evening. So, until then, I will take my time and enjoy the finds within the bag. I don't know which one was more of a laugh to find...the die break/ die chip coin above - which is approaching five rolls.... or that wild Lamination coin thats shaped like the state of Illinois...probably a little smaller than IL, but not by much.
