No idea in regard to Confederate currency. But if you just want a value....looks like it might go for $40-$50 in completed ebay auctions.

I think It might be more than $40 if my memory serves me correct then the csa marking on the back makes this pretty rare although I could be mistaken. When I get home today ill rummage through some books and see what I can figure out for you.

From "Comfederate States Paper Money" edited by George Cuhaj. It's a T-16, third issue note. There are 3 watermark varieties. CSA script, CSA block, and J. Whatman 1862 with the Whatman watermarked notes being rare. From the book "17 imprint, paper, and series varieties with plate letters WA to ZA. Some of the notes printed on plain paper are counterfeits while the extremely rare notes include those on plain paper and CSA block letter watermarked paper and those with plate letters 1A to 4A. Those with paper watermarked J. Whatman1862 are rare". 424,988 notes printed. Values range from $75 in Good, VF-$350, and UNC-$1150. The triangular cancels will diminish the value some.

I did have a nice collection of Colonial, Obsolete, Broken Bank and Confederate Currency years back and sold the entire collection in the late 90's when my numismatic interest turned to errors... With that said, any values I would place would now be obsolete also...

I notice something about this note the CSA in script is not written backwards like other on 1861 $50.
