Nice "denticles-on-rim" penny eddio! Some time ago in these threads there was a minor discussion about this effect but I haven't yet been able to find the particular thread that had the information about it though. Possibly wert posted it back earlier this year, and he had found a mention of it on a coin error website; I might be wrong but I think I'm close. I haven't seen that effect on a KGVI penny before; some time ago I mentioned in a post that I had seen them only on the 1980 cents, but I've since found them on 1981 as well. Good eye for finding it!

thanks pennyman I had this for a while I just didn't have time to get to it until now..i going back and checking all the boxes I kept-ed and finding a few more nice ones

I'm not exactly sure, vaga. I think it might be a "bounced die" error.
