That 1968 looks a little on the thick side, but its still normal.
The 1955 has a notch on the rim, and I have seen a few coins with the another notch across the coin, but not directly across. Some times there is one notch on the front and another on the back.
I typically take my keeps and put them in "year" plastic coin tube rolls. I put P,D,S in same roll until there is no more room, then break out single rolls for each. Then if you ever wish to revisit a year, its an easy find.
