Considering a playful bid on this 121217281431 (UK ebay) thought if I got him he would be my "beast". Not sure whether he is barbarian or not, not sure who he is meant to be. At 6mm I would have to keep the scope handy

It strikes me as a 4th century Barbie. Not my area of expertise but still kind of cool.

The small one is a barbarous mule. The obverse is of the VRBS ROMA commemorative while the reverse is Victory on prow which belongs to the CONSTANTINOPOLIS commemorative. I paid $15 for one in much worse condition. The other coin looks official to me.

Yep, one barbarous mule (not uncommon with the type) and an official coin. But I dont think he's got his measurements right....that big coin needs to be able to comfortably fit 3 of the barbarous coin on it and it clearly does not.

The official one says 'VONST' - looks like its taken a hit to the C.

PP, this is the favour returned, I had this queuing up in a snipe attempt! The diameter of the Constans Victoriae coin and weight are close enough to be ok, but 19mm is a little large ......they are usually 15mm'ish. The URBS/Constantinople barbarous is very nice, but it should be 16mm, Its a typo I think. Its a nice barbaric with the mixed up obverse/reverse types, but you may have to bid high as the guy who buys all my barbs (moi1584 - a lovely chap, who knows his barbs) is ruthless when he wants one and he WILL have spotted it!
Anyhow, I'll back off on this one.....good luck.
