I tried and tried but there was no way I could see the date, how did you do it.
The only ones that I've heard of being printed were the 5's, 10's, and 20's, no 1's, 2's, 50's, or 100's so far.
Do you have any more info on the 2's like where they were printed, FW or DC ?. Bill Collector

I thought that whenever one of the Secretaries signatures change, a new series comes out, or at least the letter changes; series 57 to series 57A, 57B, etc...

Correct, the BEP has only released production reports through October, I have a feeling we'll see a few more denominations in the November report. The new fiscal year 2013 started in October, I think the fed decided to more or less faze in the new series during this time. (the last series being 2009)

I still could not see the date but if you guys seen it then it has to be true. I am super surprised that the BEP even printed more useless 2's, thought for sure that the last batch they did in 2009 was more than enough being that just about no one uses them. I would think that the demand for 5's, 10's, and 20's would be much greater and more important than 2's. But it's ok with me as now I will have another 2 for the collection. Bill Collector

I'm not certain that $2's are "useless" they print them to demand, so when a certain number are on order from the various regional fed banks, they print more. What surprises me is that they didn't reuse the 2009 plates to print the new ones. Makes me wonder if they're going to do the same single fed branch run that they did in 1995 and 2003.

Quote: I thought that whenever one of the Secretaries signatures change, a new series comes out, or at least the letter changes; series 57 to series 57A, 57B, etc... When the Secretary changes, the "series year" is the year he took office. (Tim Geithner took office in 2009, thus Series 2009, then Jack Lew in 2013, thus Series 2013). If the Secretary and the Treasurer changes, there is also a Series change to they year the Secretary takes office. If there is a design change in the bill there" usually" is a change in the series year to that year. If just the Treasurer changes, there is just a suffix letter added to the series year. Say the current Treasurer changes, but not the Secretary. Then, we would start seeing 2013A, and/or if the Treasurer changers again, but the Secretary dies not, there will be Series 2013B and it would go up the alphabet from A to as far as it goes (I know that would never once make it, but I always wondered when would happen if they went all the way up to Series 2013Z and they went past "Z" if they would just double it up and go to Series "2013AA". That would likely be one old Secretary of the Treasury remaining in office to go through 28 Treasurers, however, I would love to see "Series 2020X" redesigned $2 bills when the Meaningful Access redesign comes out, but like I said, more than likely, not going to happen) Actually, before it was announced that the Meaningful Access redesign would begin in 2020, I thought for sure that the Series 2013 $2 bills would be the redesigned $2 bills, seeing as they only printed enough Series 2009 $2 bills to last until 2014, but maybe that was the original plans and, like with the new $100 bills, they had to delay the Meaningful Access redesign until 2020. The new $500 bills will likely come out around 2020 during the Meaningful Access redesign as well, if they do decide to reissue the $500 bill.

Quote: I saw the date at 0:34
I found it when I froze the full screen option at 0:36, it sure looks like Timmy's signature on serial number A01672009A.
