Hello!

I've just been searching the internet for hours trying to work out what this coin is, I cant find anything though I'm sure that's because I'm looking in the wrong places, I know nothing about old coinage at all and came across this forum.

Maybe some one will have an idea?

The following images are scans of the coin.

Any information would be great!

It's a jeton. Explaining that would take forever, but if you look at the top left of this page you'll see a search box. They have good explanations for jetons there.

Mostly they were made in Germany and I'll wait for others to give their opinions but I think that the lower of your pictures indicates that yours could be quite interesting.
Sadly, these are collectable but rarely valuable.

The legend on the bottom pic gives the name of the maker of this jeton, HANNS KRAUWINCKEL of Nuremberg, Germany (IN NVR). There were two makers by that name, father and son, who minted jetons between 1562 and 1635.
The legend in the top pic reads GOTES GABEN SOL MAN LOB (One should praise God's gifts).
