So now that 2013 for coins from the Mint is over, I'm looking through my collection - I bought more coins this year than any other previous year - and I can't help but notice a few standouts. I tried to think of one or two I loved above the others - but I couldn't narrow it down enough - so here are a few of my favs (please forgive my amateur photography): I just love the look of this bronze coin...except that background takes 'mirror' to a whole new level. I'm still missing coin #7 from this series, but this is one of my favourites of the 'group'. This little coin got a lot of flack, but I love it. I think it's a genius concept...I can't wait to get the spider, which promises to be even more amazing (I have not seen it in person yet). The moment I saw the Louisbourg coin, I fell in love with it. When I got it in the mail, I was surprised to discover it is 40mm - it's amazing how much of a visual difference those 2 mm give a 1 Oz. coin. I thought 2012's Maple of Good Fortune was beautiful...but this elephant is something else. I've never seen a coin quite like this before. Its frosted and accented in all the right places. Well, I guess I lied when I said I didn't have one favourite. Since I started collecting as a small child, I dreamed of a coin exactly like this. While the other releases in this 'set' were fantastic as well, this is the best one of them all. It's actually my favourite coin. Ever. I've been obsessed with Superman for literally as long as I can remember. And I still am. Probably more so now than ever before. So, what are your favourite coins from 2013 and why?

My favourite from RCM is probably the Autumn Bliss. My favourite from outside Canada is probably the Rwanda Green Snake Pave coin.

I, too, love the spring canopy...but I wasn't able to pick one up when it came out. Maybe next year, I can look for one for a decent price. Right now I really need to stop spending though....haha It's been too much.

Well, we had already a thread about this question https://goccf.com/t/159107&SearchTe...st,coin,2013 but we included other countries coins (the winner was the Tigers Wildlife) so it will be interesting IMHO to post now only coins from the RCM (and we have hundreds). For me, the gold medal is for the Spring Canopy: The silver coin goes for the 25th Anniversary Gold Plated Mapple Leaf: And the bronze medal is the Artic Fox (you've to see it in person) Note: I'm not the owner of the photos.

@arianzo I really wanted the arctic fox, but I had to choose between that and some others. My choices were all coins I owned, and I own none of the ones you picked. haha
But I do have to say the Canopy is gorgeous and, had I had one of my own, I probably would've included it. I think it's fair to say that it is the nicest one of the year. Well, besides Superman (but that's my nerdy bias entering the picture).

Many favorites for me, but this one from July, I felt that it "must have", although not "my theme" and not full 1oz, and I not dedicated Silver Dollar collector.... "The 60th Anniversary of the Korean Armistice Agreement (2013)" Canada Silver Dollar coin:

I love how accurate the Korean Medal coin is to the actual medal that was given out to soldiers.
