...Because material doesn't get removed if you press it. Blanks are trimmed, tumbled, and weighed to correct specs or they get scrapped.

...You're thinking that each coin gets CNC milled or machine engraved. That's waaaay too time consuming to produce.

I quite like the idea. It reminds me of microprinting on banknotes, but I wonder how long it will take to copy, probably not that long at all.

Fancy coin.
Surely adding a few lines wont stop forgers from forging those as well though.

Hmmm, I don't know if I like it. I didn't think fake bullion was a problem but I guess this was bound to happen since other denominations now feature security features.

But since for the collection (speaking for myself) usually needed one (2 max) coins, I found ebay as single provider that can offer the huge variety.

For bullion staff, I buy it from CA and some proven ebay sellers.

@Josh1459
You confirmed no "privy mark", or no security features?

Most sales right now are for the 2014s with a horse privy mark. I'm not a big fan of them, and don't want to pay a premium for them!

@Josh1459 you were able to order the normal design silver maple in the 2014 date? Does anyone know if there will be a higher premium on these new design?

The place where I sometimes buy from is asking a bit more premium for the 2014 ones right now (Canadian $24.88 vs. $23.53):

But I'm sure this is only because they are hot right now, and the prices will eventually converge. I mean, this is just bullion (and not even special issue bullion) we are talking about.

Didn't realize it would cool down that fast, but APMEX is now offering them for the same price as 2013 pieces. Told you, it's just bullion (with no privy gimmicks).
