I wanted to know a little about this coin any information would be appreciated. The date is old. What is an approximate value?

Fortunately, the Krause catalogue for the 1600's covers Papal States coins quite well. This is a large, crown-sized coin, I presume? The design matches the silver piastra if Pope Innocent IX, KM# 451.2 (Anno VIII, date inside wreath). It catalogues at $100 in VG, $200 in Fine; the mount may devalue this coin somewhat, especially since such damage is a common fate of papal coins.

I'm not familiar enough with the series to comment on whether it's genuine or not.
