I guess the scanning computer didn't catch that. Maybe that's what they call acceptable tolerances.

Interesting find. I do collect these types of variations and look for them all the time. Others call me crazy as they are neither eye popping errors nor crazy numbers.
But sometimes small print errors like these create some interesting art on the banknotes.
Did you find it in a bundle with sequential notes or was it isolated. I am curious to find out if there were other notes affected.
If you decide to sell it or put it up on e-bay or something let us know.
Thx

Thx From mint brick, bundle HBJ0135600-690 (error on note 633).The only one. I only noticed it counting the notes for return. I will certainly alert you if and when I flip the note.

Neither can I. I would need it enlarged and circled to figure it out.

Are you talking about the lighly filled in C/N/U's which ever letter you think it represents?
If so, I think it is just the continuation of the lighter blue maple leafs that border the clear strip and darker maple leafs. Looking at the bottom of the note, it looks like the top is just the tips of leaf. If you still have the brick, can you line all the notes in printed order and see if it is a continuation, I don't know if sheets run top to bottom left to right or right to left top to bottom. If that is not what you are looking at, where is the error you see?
1, 2, 3, 4 5, 6, 7, 8
or
1, 3, 5, 7 2, 4, 6, 8

I took the liberty to take the image and highlight the area with the missing ink. These kinds of things show up very nicely when looking at them. I think the photo does not to justice to it. 1188howest if you scan it you will get better results. Hope you don't mind me highlighting it. Thx
