Sometimes, fake pieces made with good silver are tumbled together in a barrel to obliterate all of the imperfections of a fake. That's what this piece reminds me of.
At that price I would buy it just because it's cool, real or not. It appears as though the horse on the reverse could have had some tooling done on it's legs.
I think the price tells the story. If genuine the guy would be wanting far more for it. He probably already tried to sell it and found out it isn't what it is suppose to be.
