These are all ancients as well, and all should be identifiable. #1: Roman, brass sestertius of emperor Hadrian. Reverse: I think it's Felicitas standing with cornucopia and caduceus, though the caduceus looks a bit messed up. #2: Roman Provincial, Markianopolis, copper pentassarion of emperor Elagabalus and empress Julia Maesa. Scroll down the Wildwinds Markianopolis page to the one labelled "Moushmov 679". #3: Roman, debased-silver antoninianus of Gallienus, reverse RESTITVT ORIENTIS, woman (representing the Eastern Provinces) presenting wreath to standing emperor. Sear 10341, RIC 448. Click and scroll down to the ones labelled RIC 448. #4: Late Roman, better pics will probably allow for a full ID.

The last one is Licinius I, IOVI CONSERVATORI. The mint isn't legible though. nice group, but I'm suspicious of the Hadrian, but theres no big red lights there.

The Hadrian sestertius is very nice and is the 'big dawg' in the litter. The last 3 I would put at $25 $20 and $10 for approximate value (I tend to price low). As for Hadrian well ..... I have bought ones in similar condition for $65-75 ! Not very often but that is the beauty of auctions. We sometimes get to 'steal' stuff when everyone else is out having fun. A dealer would ask close to $200. But being a cheapskate I would pass on it. Half that would be a safe bet.

On closer examination I tend to agree with a higher estimate. The reverse is quite 'buff' and detailed despite the weak legend which may have been in the strike. $300 is probably a good target price ...... Although as some of us have seen before auctions at this time of year can be risky when selling off good stuff ! A non'dealer' might get half that ..... and a large dealer might have a 'friend' who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks so to speak !
